I haven't seen it yet, but I'm planning to. It would be nice to see a politician speak articulately about something they are really passionate about, for longer than a 30 second commercial during election periods. I respect Gore for his efforts- and I think its apparent that the film is sincere in its message, and not so much a vehicle to keep Gore in the media. Just thoughts- like I said, I haven't seen it yet. It is such an important issue, but irrelevent in its ubiquitous nature- people have become desensitized to humankind's influence on the planet, and the future impacts. Its so serious- in 30 years or less, the consequences of global warming will be all anyone will be talking about- because it will affect our species like nothing else in recent history.

Global warming is happenning, but it's a natural process

I have atteneded the past semester a course on Environmental Engineering at the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
The professor, Dr. Ed Smith spent lots of time to demonstrate that global warming is a natural phenomenon, and that the change in the Earth's temperature is in some way related to the random variations in the amount of sun radiation and solar activity, such that the fluctuations in the world's temperatures naturally exhibit periods of heat and cold over long periods of time.
