Toronto Human Rights Watch Film Festival
February 9, 2008 @ 04:03 PM

Human Rights Watch is one of the world’s largest research and advocacy organizations. It conducts fact-finding investigations into human rights abuses in more than seventy countries around the world and publishes those findings in hundreds of reports each year. The Human Rights Watch Toronto Committee is one of a network of Human Rights Watch Committees in Europe and North America.
At the festival we will be showcasing two Oscar nominated films, "Taxi to the Dark Side," and "Buddha Collapsed out of Shame." In addition this year's festival films will have give a rare glimpse into the world of human rights through the eyes of the world's youth such as in the Romanian film "We'll Never meet Childhood Again," about orphaned HIV babies who must grapple with romance, relationships, and the possibility of marriage and children. These lively, curious, courageous teens provide a compelling reminder of the 33 million people still living with HIV/AIDS.
So if your live in Toronto or will be heading to Toronto between February 28th and March 5th then please come out and watch some amazing Human Rights films.
Special ticket price for youth/young adults starting at $5.
